Core 7 Technologies, Inc. Acquires Fields & Screens, Inc.
The acquisition will allow Core 7 Technologies to provide web-based maintenance management software to the commercial real estate industry through the formation of Core 7 US Inc, a new U.S. operating company, headquartered in Dallas, Texas
Toronto, Canada (January 1st, 2008) Core 7 Technologies, Inc., the creator of the very successful, customer-focused Officetrax.com® services and a leading developer of web-based maintenance management software applications designed for the retail chain store industry, today announced that it has acquired all of the assets of Fields & Screens, Inc. a Dallas, Texas based maintenance management software development company. The acquisition includes the entire portfolio of Work Order Wonder (WOW™) maintenance management software products. As a result of this acquisition Core 7 also announced today that they have created a U.S. based company targeted at the commercial real estate service and maintenance management business. The new company will be called Core 7 US, Inc.
Jim Dawe, President & CEO of Core 7 Technologies, Inc. stated the acquisition adds a very strategic piece to Core 7’s plan of becoming the largest provider of computerized maintenance management software in North America. Fields & Screens brings over 14,000 retail chain stores and over 400 commercial real estate properties to the Core 7 umbrella of managed facilities. This acquisition makes Core 7 Technologies the market leader in the retail chain store industry and positions us to launch our hosted ASP services into the commercial real estate market. With the addition of Fields & Screens to our company, we will now operate four very complimentary business platforms; field service management, retail chain stores, commercial real estate and construction management. This will allow us to manage a property from the pouring of the foundation through the life of a building’s daily operations.
Core 7 US Inc. will retain the corporate headquarters of Fields & Screens in Dallas, Texas and use this as its base of operations. Mr. Bob Barke the former President & CEO of Fields & Screens will manage the newly created company.
The new company will provide solutions to the commercial real estate industry utilizing state of the art ASP.NET development tools and hosted by Core 7 Technologies, Inc. The .NET framework according to David Dawe, Vice President for Core 7 Technologies will set the standard for computerized maintenance management applications used in the commercial real estate industry.
According to Bob Barke, Director of Business Development for the new U.S operation, this acquisition allows us to capitalize on a broader marketplace in need of unique state of the art maintenance management technology. The commercial real estate industry has been in need of a flexible and comprehensive maintenance management package.
