Officetrax© Service Requirements & Recommendations

Advantages of the Internet:
The Officetrax© Service is web based and consequently is not resident on the customer’s computers. The advantages of running the service using this format are numerous.

  • You can have access to the service from anywhere there is an internet connection 24/7/365. Note you may also restrict user access based on their IP Address.
  • Users do not have to be concerned with software updates. The service is updated periodically by Officetrax during regularly scheduled maintenance times.
  • There is no investment required by your IT Department to run the service (The service runs on Officetrax© servers).
  • New users can be added quickly and easily with the click of a button.

Officetrax© Requirements:
The following are the only requirements for companies who choose to run the Officetrax© service:

  • A high speed Internet connection based on the number of concurrent users on the service.
  • The Microsoft Internet Explorer Browser version 6.0 or greater. Each user must run this browser on their machines.

Officetrax© Recommendations:
In order to achieve the optimum system performance while running the Officetrax Internet service we would like to make a number of recommendations. These recommendations are the result of extensive testing and research based on technologies currently available. Officetrax is not responsible for performance issues or otherwise arising from any deviations. We recommend the following:

  • Use at least17” monitors using 1024 x 768 resolution
  • Or use 19" monitors with 1280 x 1024 resolution or greater.
  • There is always the possibility that your internet provider could go down and for those incidents we recommend that you maintain a backup internet dial-up account.
