Mobile Technician
The service utilizes innovative wireless communication technology with cell phones, laptops and PDA’s (Windows CE compatible) to automate field processes and help field service personnel do their jobs better and faster. Field service technicians receive their work orders electronically on their mobile devices and proceed to perform the service and the necessary paperwork processes while at the same time keeping the home office up to date with the status of the work being performed.

The following is a list of some of the key features and functionality available to your mobile technicians.

  • Ability to receive and acknowledge dispatched work with their hand held devices
  • Able to view / modify information on Location, Equipment and Equipment service history.
  • Add mileages, parts and time to the work order.
  • Add / Modify narrative to the work order. Add follow-up notes
  • Checklists can appear on the W/O and each checklist item requires some type of response from the technician.
  • Generate a Purchase Order, add inventory to truck stock and attach parts used onto the work order.
  • Technician can collect a customer's signature with their PDA device.
  • Ability to maintain an accurate record of their own truck stock. Ability to search other company inventory sources for parts. Transfer inventory from their truck stock to another Technician’s truck stock.
  • Customer satisfaction surveys can be created and implemented through the mobile technician.
