Right from their computers or handheld PDAs, onsite technicians are able to record the parts and materials used, their time on the job, all service call notes and any future service recommendations. The mobile technician does not need to be connected to the internet to record their information so if they are working in a remote area with a poor signal they can rest easy that their work is being saved. Once their device is able to reconnect it will do so and update the service. Technicians can also generate purchase orders in the field and assign purchased parts and materials to either a work order or their truck inventory.
